Vela Special Schools, Founded in 1992 was established with the goal of serving children with multiple disabilities and providing them with a comprehensive education. At a time when awareness and understanding of disabilities were limited, the founders of Vela recognized the need for specialized education in the state, particularly in rural and underprivileged communities

Our Story

Our school began with just two hearing-impaired children in a rented premises in Mundiyampakkam, Villupuram district. As our enrollment grew, we moved to larger rented premises in town. Today, we have grown to become one of the finest special schools in the state, and we are proud of the achievements of our students and the dedication of our staff.

We are grateful for the support and guidance of our founders, our team of experts from diverse backgrounds, and the tireless efforts of our staff. Together, we have built a school that serves as a beacon of hope for children with disabilities and their families
